The crockery delivery system comprises a pair of roller tracks on which baskets loaded with clean dishes are carried through the rinsing part of a dishwashing machine to an unloading platform and the empty baskets are returned on a second carrier track. The final rinse part (1) of a dishwashing machine has an opening (12) in the wall (9) through which a conveyor system (7) carries baskets (5) loaded with clean dishes (4) to an unloading area (11) at which the baskets are emptied and transferred to a second track (8) which conveys them through a second opening (13) in the dishwasher wall for re-use.
