Cruciform spanner with two adjustable arms for use on motor vehicle wheel nuts

The spanner has arms (10,11) having non=round e.g. square cross sections. The arms are joined at a connection (15) which has at least two openings at right angles to one another. The arms fit into these openings and both slide axially with respect to the connection. The connection has a threaded bolt or especially a wingnut or a spring loaded steel ball within a hole at right angles to each arm which stops the arm from sliding once positioned. One arm may have a detachable socket (13) to allow its removal from the connection.
