The assembly system has air-cooling devices of differing height, or liquid-cooling devices of differing height, each fitted with power thyristors in single or duplex mode, inserted between the same multi-layer current rails (3,4) bridged by a cross rail (8) selected in dependence on the height of the employed cooling devices. The multi-layer current rails have terminals (7) for connection to the cross rail and for connection to one sensor group (9) of sensor groups (9,10) used for current and voltage monitoring with both types of cooling device.
