In-line electrical plug connector with two-part construction

The electrical connector has a bush-shaped socket 4 of an electrically conducting material and the top and bottom sections are formed with leaf spring shaped contacts 7. A connecting element 9 is formed as a metal pressing and has a rolled front end 11. This is pushed by the plug body 3 against the leaf spring contacts and these spread. The sides of the connecting element is formed with lugs that locate in grooves 8 in the side walls for guidance.
