Direct production of pigmented and/or filled optionally modified polycondensation resin batch

In the production of (modified) polycondensation resins containing pigments and/or fillers, the resins are produced in batches and pigment and/or filler powder is strewn into the reaction system during the polycondensation and/or modification reaction and after conversion of >= 30 wt.% to /} 95 wt.% of the total amount of components needed for synthesis. Polycondensation is carried out in the melt, optionally containing solvent, especially in stages. Modification is carried out after polycondensation. The powder is added during polycondensation or modification, especially to melt cooled below the reaction temperature. After addition, the melt is reheated to the reaction temperature, which is lower than the reaction temperature before addition. The weight ratio of pigment and/or filler to (modified) resin is (1-0.1):1. Suitable resins are polyesters, alkyd resins and/or polycarbonates and (meth)acrylated, styrenated and/or urethanated polyester and alkyd resins.
