LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A color liquid crystal display such that the displayed image is bright and, further, the variation in color tone depending on the intensity of incident light is small. A pixel reflecting layer (13) made of Ta is formed in each pixel region. Three types of anode oxide film (13a, 13b and 13c) which have different thicknesses are formed on the surfaces of the pixel reflective layers (13). The thicknesses of the anode oxide films are so determined that the reflected light from the pixel reflective layers (13) exhibits three different colors by interference.
