摘要 An improved process for biological treatment of wood for pulping, or biopulping, is based on the use of the species Phlebia subserialis. It has been found that several strains of P. subserialis are able to colonize wood and delignify it at temperatures desirable in industrial scale fermentation reactors. Also, unlike some other white rot fungi which can be used in biopulping processes, when P. subserialis colonizes wood chips, it does not create a significant mass of surface or aerial hyphal mass on the chips which can interfere with process control and air flow.
