Press-fit hose coupling

The hose coupling has a female end (2) with an inner grip groove (19) which is aligned with a grip groove in the male coupling (1). An elastic grip ring (3) clamps between the two grooves to secure the coupling axially. To release the coupling it is compressed further, causing the grip ring to move into a wider release groove (20) where it expands and allows the male coupling to be removed. The two coupling ends are braced apart by an elastic ring (15) clamped between the two ends. This provides an axial force to prevent the grip ring from moving into the release position. Manual axial force has to be applied, to further compress the elastic ring, to open the coupling.
