Process for machine cleaning reusable packagings soiled with tenacious stains

Packagings with tenacious strains are detected before or after cleaning in a cleaning plant (4) with known per se cleaning agents by using a sensor device (1, 5) and then are automatically separated out. Subsequently, only the packagings separated out are treated one or more times in at least on separate step with at least one agent not used in the cleaning plant (4) (special processing (3)) which is suited for removing the soiling. The process is particularly economical in that only the strongly soiled packagings need to be subjected to the special processing (3).
