摘要 A method of altering G protein signal transduction pathways in plants and thereby influencing plant growth, development and responses to endogenous signalling molecules, environmental signals, pests and pathogens is disclosed herein. A G protein-coupled receptor in Arabidopsis thaliana, Brassica napus and Brassica oleracea have been discovered, isolated and cloned. Specifically, the cDNA sequence encoding the full length receptor Arabidopsis thaliana has been isolated and purified, as well as the amino acid sequence. The isolated G protein-coupled receptor of the present invention is believed to influence the sensitivity of plants to cytokinins.
