PURPOSE:To facilitate attaching work by forming the core of a current transformer used in a watthour meter, which is connected to a power line to be measured and measures the amount of power consumption, with a receiving core to which a bubbin is attached and a connecting core which can be attached and detached. CONSTITUTION:A watthour meter is connected to a power line to be measured and measures the amount of power consumption. The core of a current transformer constituting the watthour meter is divided into a receiving core 23 and a connecting core 24 so that attachment and disassebling can be performed. The receiving core 23 is housed in a case 23a having a U shaped cross section and provided with a winding 21. The connecting core 24 is housed in a case 24a having a U shaped cross section. The case 24a is further bent in a U shape. The coil 21 is inserted into the space of the case 24a. Comb shaped iron plates 23b and 24d which are formed at the end parts of the cores 23 and 24 are coupled together. A hook part 24b at the tip of an elastic engaging piece 24c which is attached to the connecting core 24 is brought into contact with the receiving core 23. In this way, the current transformer can be mounted or removed readily under the state of hot power line. |
