PURPOSE:To reduce the wall thickness of a seal member (seal sleeve) and create a lighter-weight seal member and enable elastic deformation to be available and facilitate its handling and enhance wear-resistant properties as compared with the prior art seal ring and increase the rotary speed of a cutter disk as well. CONSTITUTION:A seal device 10 is laid out between a cylinder-shaped support section 3a and a ring member 4a and the ring member 4a and a cylinder-shaped chamber wall 9a respectively. The seal devices 10 comprise a cross section lip type elastic seal 11 and a metal-made seal sleeve 12 which is slidinsly connected to the tip of the elastic seal 11 where the seal sleeve 12 is made of a thin-walled hoop whose bending elastic properties are high in the radius direction. |
