PURPOSE:To provide a molten metal vessel and a repairing method therefor, in which only local damaging part can be repaired. CONSTITUTION:In the molten metal vessel (tundish, ladle, etc.,) in which only the peripheral part of the local damage estimation part (the part having possibility of local damage) is preliminarily constituted of carbonaceous refractory, e.g. the tundish is lined with brick 2 ordinarily used as the lining material and also, the peripheral part of locally damaged portion is lined as a picture frame state with carbon-containing brick 3. As the repairing means, only the brick 2a part damaged as bounding the picture frame of the carbon-containing brick 3 is picked up and dismantled and this dismantled removal part is again lined with the brick 2a or repaired with monolithic refractory. Therefore, the lining material in the molten metal vessel is locally damaged or eroded, and even if the integrative phenomenon is accurred, this phenomenon is limited due to the carbon-series refractory constituted in the peripheral part thereof, and this damage is not spread to the whole body, but limited to only the local part. |
