The locking connector secures a component to flat sheet-metal, being particularly for the locking member of an automotive tank cap. Two parallel slots (11,12) are formed in the metal (5), while there is a window-type locking aperture (7) between them. The component (1) has two T-shaped guide-pieces (3,4) inserted in the slots so as to engage behind the metal, also a locking lug (6) between them preloaded towards the metal, engaging in the aperture when the guide-pieces are inserted for a sufficient distance, so as to prevent movement in the rearwards direction. USE/ADVANTAGE - Locking connector is simple to install and easily released for repair work. |
