<p>Lacquered wire, which may be of any cross-section and insulated, is wound into electric coils, and the lacquer is softened by heating precisely at the point of winding, using possibly a gas flame or a focused laser beam. Wire tensioning ensures optimum packing of the windings. The lacquer fills hollows in, and bonds, the wound coils, which may be used for microphones, headsets or loudspeakers.</p> |
