摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide photothermal conversion type recording material by which density reproduction equal to density of printed matter is obtained and color reproduction approximate to printed matter is obtained and good image transfer is obtained by using carbon black as photothermal conversion material and controlling its dispersibility and thereafter controlling film thickness of a photothermal conversion layer and selecting a specific ink layer as a thermal transfer layer. SOLUTION: At least a cushioning layer, a photothermal conversion layer and an ink layer are provided on a substrate. The photothermal conversion layer contains carbon black and resin and its film thickness is O.4-1.2&mu;m and carbon black is dispersed in <=0.5&mu;m average particle diameter. The ink layer contains 15-45wt.% coloring material. A binder contains resin in a range within 40-150 deg.C melting point or softening point as a main component and its film thickness is 0.4-1.0&mu;m.
