PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press formed product enabling contribution to further strengthening, and a strengthening method thereof. SOLUTION: The press formed product is required to have a prescribed strength distribution. Quenched range being a quenched layer formed in the press formed product provides the strength distribution showing the hardness variation corresponding to the needed strength distribution. For example, the press formed product 1 is the one provided with one end part 11 and the other end part 12. The quenched range 3 extends continuously over from the one end part 11 side to the other end part 12 side, and the hardness distribution in the quenched range 3 becomes the high strength at the center range 3a between the one end part and the other end part, and the hardness is gradually lowered from the center range 3a to the one end part and the other end part. |
