PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of production of magnetic alloy grains composed essentially of iron, having high coercive force and great saturation magnetization and minimal in deterioration in these characteristics with the lapse of time. SOLUTION: After precursor grains, composed of hydrated iron oxide or iron oxide grains containing cobalt(Co) by 15-45 atomic % based on Fe, are reduced, first slow oxidation is carried out at 20-100 deg.C under an oxygen- containing gaseous atmosphere. Then, after annealing treatment at 120-450 deg.C under an inert-gas atmosphere, second slow oxidation is performed under an oxygen-containing gaseous atmosphere. |
