PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition comprising a modified hydrogenated dienic polymer and a conductive material and/or an active electrode substance (e.g. graphite), excellent in adhesivity to metal foils, long in a charging and discharging cycle life and capable of giving batteries excellent in durability. SOLUTION: This conductive composition comprises (A) a polymer modified by adding at least one kind of functional group to a hydrogenated dienic polymer and (B) a conductive material (e.g. carbon black) and/or an active electrode substance (e.g. graphite). The component A is obtained e.g. by hydrogenating a (co)polymer obtained from a conjugated diene compound such as 1,3-butadiene and an aromatic vinyl compound such as styrene in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst and subsequently thermally melt-blending the obtained hydrogenated dienic polymer with a radically polymerizable monomer having a functional group in the presence of a radical-generating agent to graft-polymerize the monomer to the hydrogenated dienic polymer. |
