PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accelerating the humification of a plant waste whereby plant wastes such as grubbed roots or weed roots can be humified in a shorter time than required when the waste is buried, thus enabling the wastes to be recycled as humus, and which is not costly and does not pollute the environment at all. SOLUTION: A hollow 2 with a depth of about 1m and an arbitrary area is made on a dry ground 1 and filled with lapilli to form a lapilli layer 3. A mixture of plant wastes such as grubbed roots or weed roots with a natural soil is deposited on the lapilli layer 3 to form a deposit 4 nearly in a trapezoidal form. The deposit 4 is covered with a mixture of sandstones having particle sizes of about 1-5mm and fine sandstones having particles sizes of about 0.1-1mm in a radio of 7:3 to form a covering layer 6. The upper side 4A of the deposit 4 is covered with an upper covering layer 6A with a thickness of about 40cm, and the inclined side 4B is covered with a side covering layer with a thickness of about 10cm. |
