PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treating method for efficiently reducing a boron concentration. SOLUTION: Water to be treated 1 containing boron is caused to pass through a reverse osmotic membrane in a membrane separation device 3 to obtain an RO membrane-permeating water 7 which is free from a solvent such as boron. Next, this RO membrane-permeating water 7 is allowed to pass through a cationic exchange resin layer 5 to remove a residual boron present in the RO membrane-permeating water 7 by ion exchange. Thus the efficient removal of boron is achieved by two-step treatment such as membrane separation by the reverse osmotic membrane and ion exchange by a cationic exchange resin. |
