PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of mounting a spring seat and a device therefor eliminating necessity for labor, capable of reducing a cost of production and shortening a time for manufacture. SOLUTION: A clamp device 115 is displaced in a direction of arrow mark F, a columnar member 164 is inserted to a hole part of a spring seat 52 loaded in a mounting base 90, clamp parts 148a, 148b are approached each other to clamp the spring seat 52. The clamp device 115 is displaced in a direction of arrow mark G, E, F, the spring seat 52 is mounted in a cylinder head 14. A detection device 168 is displaced in a direction of arrow mark F from upward the cylinder head 14, a first contact part 198a, 198b comes into contact with a protruded part of the spring seat 52, a second contact part 224a to 224d comes into contact with an edge part of the spring seat 52. A displacement amount of a first detection member 192a, 192b and a second detection member 216a, 216b is detected by a photoelectric sensor 212a to 212d, whether the spring seat 52 is normally mounted or not in the cylinder head 14 is judged. |
