PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a displacement of a striding surface of a vehicle pedal when an external force more than a specified value acts against it from a front side of the vehicle. SOLUTION: A pressing member 58 having a specified shape is arranged above a front bracket 28 of an instrument panel 16. In compliance with this arrangement, an upper end 42A of a pedal supporting section 42 of a brake pedal 10 is extended substantially above the vehicle and substantially in front of the vehicle and arranged in opposition to the pressing member 58. Accordingly, both in the case that an external force more than a specified value acts from a forward part of the vehicle to cause the instrument panel 16 to be displaced to a substantial rearward side of the vehicle and in the case that the instrument panel 16 is displaced to a substantial upper side of the vehicle, the upper end 42A of the pedal supporting section 42 is pushed against to the substantial rearward location of the vehicle around a rotating shaft 52. With such an arrangement, it is possible to displace a pedal pad 44 to be displaced to the substantial front side of the vehicle. |
