PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a highly safe skin preparation for external use having excellent effect without inducing any problem about toxicity, and usable as a cosmetic or a raw material of a medicine, etc. SOLUTION: This skin preparation for external use contains an extract of Eucommia ulmoides. The extract is obtained by dipping or superheat refluxing whole plant of Eucommia ulmoides containing leaves, stems and fruits together with a single or mixed solvent of water, methanol or acetone, etc., filtering and concentrating. A mixing amount of the Eucommia ulmoides extract in the skin preparation for external use may be 0.005-20.0wt.%, especially 0.01-10.0wt.% as a dried material. The skin preparation is useful as, e.g. an ointment, a cream or a lotion. The composition can protect oil and fat such as mink oil from oxidation and can effectively mix the oil and fat into a cosmetic. |
