FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, in particular, methods of steel melting in electric arc furnaces. SUBSTANCE: method includes charging of iron charge from metal scrap and conversion pig iron, period of oxidation, preliminary deoxidizing, introduction in melt of alloying and vanadium-containing materials, finishing of melt by chemical composition and temperature. Iron charge in the amount of 20-60% is charged into furnace in the form of charge stock from conversion pig iron and iron-containing oxide material. Vanadium-containing materials are introduced in melt in the form of magnetic slag-metal fraction of vanadium converter slag in the amount of 20-250 per ton of melt. In addition, charge stock contains conversion pig iron and iron-containing oxide material with the following amounts of components, wt.-%: conversion pig iron, 65-90; iron-containing oxide material, 10-35. Iron-containing oxide material is used in the form of final steel-melting slags, scale, sinter, ore, concentrates, pallets, wastes of metal flame fettling and grinding or flue dust. Melt is finished by chemical composition and temperature in ladle on furnace-ladle unit. Magnetic slag-metal fraction sizing 1-200 mm of vanadium converter slag contains, wt.-%: metal iron, 30-90; iron oxides (in terms of FeO), 3-30; carbon, 0.5-3.0; vanadium oxides (in terms of V<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>), not less than, 2-5; phosphorus, 0.05-0.08; sulfur, 0.05-0.07. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 cl, 4 tble |
