PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a break of a job in single recording paper by using an existing mechanism, by switching reversal discharge and nonreversal discharge to/from each other with every pause of a series of image forming operation by a control means. SOLUTION: In reversal switching processing, first of all, whether or not it is a double-sided copy is judged (S401). A nonreversal mode is always set (S405) in the double-sided copy. When it is not the double-sided copy, a discharge sensor E62 judges (S402) whether or not the tip of recording paper is detected. In the case where the discharge sensor E62 detects the tip of the recording paper, when an output mode of discharge recording paper is a first page, a reversal discharge mode is set (S404), and when it is not a first page, a nonreversal mode is set (S405). Reversal discharge control is performed (S406) according to a reversal mode. As a result, a break of a job can be made only by switching reversal/nonreversal to/from each other in the same recording paper, or only by switching page order of the recording paper to be discharged. |
