PNEUMATIC TIRE AND ITS PREPARATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pneumatic tire being lightweight and with excellent sealing properties and a method for preparation thereof by providing cutouts on a part of a resin film placed between end parts of carcass layers and bonding cord rubbers of the carcass layers together through them. SOLUTION: In carcass layers 11, one end part and another end part in the peripheral direction of a tire are piled together to form a splice part 15 extending in the width direction of the tire and an air permeation preventing layer 14 is placed between the carcass layers 11 and 11 at the splice part 15. Various cutouts with planely visible shapes are provided on a part 16 placed between the air permeation preventing layer 14 and cord rubbers of the carcass layers 11 and 11 are directly bonded together through these cutouts 20. The cutouts can be formed on the whole part 16 placed between the carcass layers 11 and 11 but they are pref. formed on 5-80%, especially 30-80% of the area of the splice of the part 16.
