SUBSTANCE: line has mechanized section 15 arranged at beginning of line for assembling and welding of base with windshield frame and jigs for sides 16 arranged in tandem in pairs relative to technological axis line 1-1 in which tailgate aperture is formed, and sections for welding up body 17 with simultaneously welding-to of roof. Transport for pallets 18 is made in form of rotary-roll out tables 19 arranged at both sides relative to line 1-1. Loading and unloading devices belonging to section 15 are made in form of multicarriage portal manipulators 46, 51 and 56. Chain conveyor 70 for transportation of base with welded-to windshield frame and chain conveyor 71 for transportation of assembled body are arranged on one axis. Roof transportation chain conveyor 72 is arranged in parallel with this axis. Chain conveyor 71 encloses in width chain conveyor 70 at loading position 73.
