PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject agent capable of being used for a medicine useful for treating chronic fibroplastic liver disease and acute liver diseases by using a bradykinin antagonist. SOLUTION: This medicine used for treating chronic fibroplastic liver diseases and acute liver diseases uses a bradykinin antagonist expressed by the formula: H-D-Arg-Arg-Pro-Hyp-Gly-Thi-Ser-D-Tic-Oic-Arg-OH (HOE-140), para- guanidobenzoyl-Arg-Pro-Hyp-Gly-Gly-Thi-Ser-D-Tic-Oic-Arg-OH, or physiologically permissible salt thereof. Further, a suitable bradykinin antagonist manifests a sodium excretion increasing effect in a CCl4 induced hepatic fibrosis model in rats. Thus, it is expected that the medicine can be used to perform the treatment of the chronic fibroplastic liver diseases (cirrhosis and hepatic fibrosis) and the acute liver diseases, and the prevention of complicating diseases, especially the prevention or the treatment of portal hypertension, incompensation phenomenon, etc. |
