FIELD: pipe rolling; may be used as auxiliary equipment of piercing mill. SUBSTANCE: device has transportation device installed for bringing the casting block to axis of centering, closed bed with inclined planes, striker, rod carrying striker and coaxially located in bed:, clamping mechanism with clamping hydraulic cylinder and hydraulic cylinder for forcing-in of striker, hydraulic mechanism for withdrawn of striker. Clamping mechanism is made in the form of wedge jaws engageable with bed inclined planes, bars hinged with their one end to wedge jaws, and their other end is connected by means of tie-rods with body of hydraulic cylinder of clamping mechanism. Hydraulic mechanism for withdrawal of striker is made in the form stop-plunger and additional piston located in recess of rod of hydraulic cylinder for forcing-in of striker. Stop-plunger has axial hole for rod carrying striker and connected with additional piston. EFFECT: provision of centering the casting blocks with high accuracy due to accurate installation of casting block by striker axis without regulation of its position in case of deviations of actual size of casting block from standard one, and clamping the casting blocks with forces corresponding to centering forces. 4 dwgb
