PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new gene coding a new isoform of cell-stroma desmosome protein paxillin, and useful for developing medicines for cancer therapies such as diagnosing cancer malignancy advancement and restraining metastasis or cancer cell infiltration. SOLUTION: This gene is a new isoform (paxillin β) gene of cell-stroma desmosome protein paxillin, coding an amino acid sequence virtually shown by formula I, or another new isoform (paxillin γ) of the paxillin, coding an amino acid sequence virtually shown by formula II. This gene is hopeful of medical applications, e.g. the development of medicines for cancer therapies such as diagnosing cancer malignancy advancement and restraining metastasis or cancer cell infiltration. This gene is obtained by the following process: a mRNA is isolated from human mononuclear blast cells V937, and, from the mRNA, a cDNA is synthesized using a reverse transcriptase, and then subjected to PCR amplification using e.g. a partial sequence of human paxillin a as primer. |
