FIELD: rubber industry. SUBSTANCE: degassing of rubber crumb is effected via additional two-column countercurrent process between the first and second steps. In the first column, rubber crumb is brought in contact with water and hydrocarbon vapor mixtures under excessive pressure, and, in the second column, rubber crumb is brought in countercurrent contact with water and hydrocarbon vapor mixtures formed owing to self-vaporization under vacuum 0.008-0.09 MPa provided by steam jet ejector. Rubber crumb suspension is transferred from lower part of the first step into its upper part with, disposed therein, contact members, on which interaction of descending rubber crumb with ascending vapors moving from the second into the first step takes place. Rubber crumb is then transferred from lower part of the first column into upper part of the second column. As working steam, the one transferred from the second step into the first step through the first column of additional countercurrent degassing is used. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 1 dwgs
