FIELD: transport engineering; steering hydraulic systems. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic system has the following devices connected by hydraulic lines; tank, pump, two-and three-position distributors, two smooth engagement mechanisms, power cylinder connected with steering wheels, working fluid flow rate regulator. These devices of working fluid delivery from tank into working spaces of power cylinder and return of fluid into tank. System is made for operation under steerable wheel turning torque amplification conditions and their return into neutral condition. Hydraulic hammer appearing at changing the system over from turning torque amplification conditions into wheel return into neutral conditions is smoothed out by additionally provided smooth engagement mechanisms made in form of hydraulic restrictor, differential and check valves connected in parallel relative to each other.
