WEATHER RESISTANT POLYCARBONATE SHEET AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a weather resistant polycarbonate sheet capable of maintaining the weather resistant properties even after secondary processing such as a thermoforming and preventing an ultraviolet absorber from being lost during forming the sheet and to provide a method for producing the sheet. SOLUTION: This weather resistant polycarbonate sheet is composed of a polycarbonate having a little amount of different bond and blended with 0.01-20wt.% ultraviolet absorber. The method for producing the weather resistant polycarbonate sheet comprises an extrusion of the raw composition for the sheet comprising the polycarbonate having a little amount of the different bond from a sheet-forming machine while adjusting the temperature of the composition to 240-290 deg.C.
