PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain various long life mechanical equipment for use in hot-dip metal coating bath and to prolong the continuous operating period without replacing mechanical equipment by specifying the composition of the mechanical equipment for use in bath, to be disposed in a hot-dip metal coating bath. SOLUTION: The various mechanical equipment for use in hot-dip metal coating bath has a composition consisting of 70-95% Si3 N4 , 2-10% Al2 O3 , 1-10% AlN, 1-10% Y2 O3 , and inevitable impurities. At this time, the mechanical equipment for use in bath means those to be disposed in a hot-dip metal coating bath, such as roll, bearing, roll arm 17, melting box 8, snout 3, pump in bath, and thrust bearing. By this method, the operating period until defects are brought about in products can be prolonged to a greater extent.
