PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording paper having high ink absorbability, improving the sharpness or hue change of an image by suppressing the bleeding of an obtained image with the elapse of time or the increase in a dot size and also improved in drying properties after printing. SOLUTION: An ink jet recording paper is obtained by providing a hydrophilic binder layer containing a hydrophilic polymer having at least an alkylene oxide group as a repeating unit and having an average mol.wt. of 20000-500000 on a support. In this case, the hydrophilic binder layer contains a homopolymer and/or a copolymer of vinyl pyrrolidone in an amt. of 0.5 times or more with respect to the hydrophilic polymer having an alkylene oxide group. |
