PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new substance shown by a specific formula, antagonistic to fibrinogen receptors and having high blood platelet coagulation inhibitory activity, excellent in oral absorbabiliy, and useful as a blood platelet coagulation inhibitor. SOLUTION: This new compound is shown by formula I [A is a tertiary amine; R3 is H, a lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, etc.; R4 is H, a lower alkyl, hydroxy(lower)alkyl, etc.; P and Q are each a lower alkyl, or joined, together with the adjacent C atom, into a cycloalkyl; R5 is H or a biodegradable carboxyl-protecting group; X is N or CH; Y1 and Y2 are each H, a lower alkyl, halogen, etc.; (m) is 0-2], e.g. ethyl N- N-[4-(4-morpholinoimidoyl)benzoyl]-β- alanyl}-4-piperidineacetate. The compound formula I is obtained, pref., for example, by synthesizing respective units of formula II to IV followed by using a conventional method in the peptide chemistry.
