<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a pollutant contained in the air using the outer wall of a building. SOLUTION: This air cleaning wall 2 forms the outer wall of a building 4 and consists of an outer lateral wall 6, an inner lateral wall 8, a soil layer 10 and a venting waterproof sheet 12. The waterproof sheet 12 is arranged in proximity to the outer lateral wall 6 inside the wall 6, and a soil storage part 16 is constituted between the waterproof sheet 12 and the inner lateral wall 8. In the soil storage part 16, the soil layer 10 is formed with a soil in which aerobic bacteria can proliferate. To secure appropriate air permeability in the soil layer 10 by preventing it from becoming compacted, a honeycomb structure is buried in the layer 10. In addition, numerous pores through which an atmospheric air is passable are formed, in the direction in which the pores are opened through the outer lateral wall 6, across the entire area of the outer lateral wall 6. Further, an opening 22 for exhaust and water supply is formed on the upper part of the soil storage part 16, while a water drain aperture 24 is formed on the lower part. The waterproof sheet 12 has air permeability for enabling the inflow of an atmospheric air and also has repellency (whereproofness) by which the rain water is prevented from flowing in.</p> |
