<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strongly grip a handrail even with weak grinding force by provid ing a handrail mainbody and an engaged member and form an engaged portion of elastic material. SOLUTION: A handrail mainbody 10 is formed of a vinyl chloride coping 30 and an aluminum coping support 40. The coping support 40 is fixed to the wall of a step with fixing members. The coping 30 is fitted into the outside of the coping support 40. An engaged member 20 is fitted into a handrail mainbody opening 11 formed with a coping opening 31 at the end of the coping 30 and a coping support opening 41 at the end of line coping support 40. By fitting the engaged member 20 therein, the lower end face 21 is continued with the outer surface of the coping 30 to form the lower end of the handrail mainbody 10. When fingers contact and grip time elastically deformable engaged member 20, the engaged member is elastically deformed and recessed and so the fingers catch the end of the handrail mainbody opening 11. In this way, a handrail possible to strongly grip is formed.</p> |
