TRANSFER MEDIUM FOR INK-JET RECORDING, TRANSFERRING METHOD USING IT AND CLOTH TO BE TRANSFERRED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase absorptivity of ink in the transfer layer of a transfer medium and to form a transfer image in which density is high and clarity is high on cloth by providing a mold release layer and a transfer layer containing thermoplastic resin minute particles and a polymer binding agent on a base material. SOLUTION: Thermoplastic resin minute particles and thermoplastic resin for a polymer binding agent are used as the constitutional material of the basic transfer layer of the transfer medium for ink-jet recording. The thermoplastic resin minute particles consist of minute particles made of nonaqueous thermoplastic resin and are not formed into a film before a transfer image is formed. The shapes of minute particles are left as these are and a transfer layer is formed. Voids formed of many thermoplastic resin minute particles are secured in the transfer layer. As a result, the transfer layer of a transfer medium holds absorptivity of ink and a high quality image is formed in the transfer layer.
