METHOD OF STEEL DEOXIDIZING

FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; may be used in steel deoxidizing. SUBSTANCE: method includes preliminary deoxidizing in furnace and final deoxidizing in ladle which is conducted with ferrosilicon, and then, with silicocalcium in the form of powder wire. Prior to introduction into ladle of silicocalcium, temperature and height of melt in ladle are determined. Rate of introduction of wire in ladle is determined by relation V=1.25K(T/1550) HH , where K= (0.95-1.05) is empirical coefficient depending on thickness of wire sheet, H is height of melt in ladle, m; T is melt temperature in ladle, C. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
