PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a coating material from dropping by accurately sucking a small quantity of the coating material from each feed tube of a coater on color change or the like. SOLUTION: A thinner source 38 and a waste liquid tank 41 are connected by a suction path 31, and in the midway positions of the suction path 31, suction gate valves 34A to 34E are arranged, and in a preparation stage before coating, the thinner source 38 and the waste liquid tank 41 are made to communicate with each other to fill the suction path 31 with thinner. In this way, accumulated air in the suction path 31 is eliminated, and on color change or the like, the suction gate valves 34A to 34E are switched to make coater side coating material paths 10A to 10E and waste liquid tank side suction paths 33A to 33E communicate with each other and operates a suction pump 43, causing a small quantity of the coating material to be sucked in from feed tubes 2A∼2E.
