PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a deteriorated signal pattern, such as consecutive identical codes for a long time in a serial digital interface device for a digital video signal or the like. SOLUTION: In a circuit for sending a scrambled NRZ-I signal 3a, a scramble signal 12a prior to the NRZ-I conversion is fed to an up-down counter 56. The up-down counter 56 is incremented by one, when a logic level of the scramble signal 12a is 0 and stores a count, when logical 1 to provide an output of a identical code accumulated number 56a. The identical code accumulated number 56a is fed to a comparator circuit 57, in which the identical code accumulated number 56a is compared with a preset permissible accumulated number. When the identical code accumulated number 56a exceeds the permissible accumulated value, the identical code accumulated number 56a is outputted. |
