PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a portable telephone set for a long term by using separate batteries to feed power to a pager function section, a portable telephone set function and a common control function respectively. SOLUTION: In order to extend the operating time as the entire telephone set by utilizing effectively the residual amount of secondary batteries, separate batteries 2A-2C are used to feed power to a pager function section 1, a portable telephone set function section 3 and a common control function section 4 provided to the telephone set respectively. In this case, the capacity of the secondary battery 2A for driving the pager function section 1, the secondary battery 2B for driving the portable telephone set function section 3, and the secondary battery 2C for driving the common control function section 4 is selected corresponding to the power consumption of the functions 1, 3, and 4. Then the common control function section 4 selects a secondary battery with a high residual capacity from a secondary battery with a small residual capacity and converts the voltage level of the battery as required. In the case of charging the batteries 2A-2C in this telephone set, the measurement of the charging voltage and temperature and the charge end schedule time are informed to an interface section 6. |
