<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily retrieve related information by using past retrieval operation information extracted from an access history. SOLUTION: An access monitor 1 always monitors access to information by a user, and updates an access history data base 3 which is divided by users. At retrieval time, information in the access history database 3 is displayed on a screen by extracting information which is arranged and saved by using the access user and time as keys. For the rearrangement of the access history, the time intervals of records of the access history are checked and when there is an interval larger than a certain value, it is considered that operation is paused and the access history is sectioned to generate clusters. Documents included in the respective clusters are ordered according to the access frequencies and documents having higher access frequencies are considered to be valuable, and arranged and displayed on the screen. Consequently, the know-how obtained by user's past operation can be utilized for information retrieval.</p> |
