<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To return to a first menu screen by a simple switch operation by providing a switch for instructing to return to the menu screen even in the time of performing any processing on an operation surface. SOLUTION: When the power source of a personal computer is turned on, the processing menu of a dictionary, communication, a FAX, a telephone, a word processor and table calculation, etc., is displayed on a display screen 11. An operator selects and instructs one from the menu by using a mouse 13 or the like and it is desirable that at least the first menu screen can be returned in the case of erroneously selecting and instructing the dictionary even though FAX transmission is to be performed as a desired processing. Then, the switch 15 for returning to the menu screen valid in any cases is provided on a front surface which is the operation surface most easily understandable and easily operatable for the operator. By pressing the switch 15, the first menu screen is returned at any time and an operation is performed again.</p> |
