PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the problems such as paper jamming caused by the unfavorable conveyance, by preventing the unfavorable conveyance for the next image formation by reducing the curling of a pointed end of a recording medium, by controlling the temperature of the pointed end at the leading side in the conveying direction, of the recording medium in the next image formation, lower than that of the other area excluding the pointed end part. SOLUTION: The temperature is adjusted to be 160 deg.C for an area of at least 25mm rear end, when the first image is formed in an automatic duplex image formation. The temperature from the pointed end of the paper to the 25mm rear end, is adjusted to be 190 deg.C to improve the margin of the fixing function, and the temperature thereafter is adjusted to be 160 deg.C. Thereby the minus curl of the rear end of the first face becomes 5mm which is smaller than the curl of 10mm causing the paper jamming, so that the paper conveyance of the second face can be stabilized. The temperature of the whole paper is adjusted to be, for example 190 deg.C in the fixing process of the second face, to ensure the fixing function. The area temporarily fixed on the first face is simultaneously heated at the fixing of the second face, so that the first and second faces can be sufficiently fixed. |
