<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low power consuming semiconductor device wherein power consumption of a ROM circuit is reduced, relating to a semiconductor device comprising a semiconductor integrated circuit which contains the ROM circuit. SOLUTION: Relating to a semiconductor device comprising a semiconductor integrated circuit containing an ROM circuit 1, the ROM circuit 1 comprises memory cell arrays 11 and 21 comprising a plurality of memory cells, a plurality of ROM circuit units 2 and 3 containing column decoders 12 and 22 and row decoders 13 and 23, respectively, and a control circuit part 4 which controls operation of the ROM circuit units 2 and 3 based on the address signal and operation command signal inputted from outside. The control circuit part 4, based on the address signal, selects a desired ROM circuit unit out of the ROM circuit units 2 and 3, and in accordance with the operation command signal, allows the selected ROM circuit unit to operate exclusively against the other ROM circuit unit.</p> |
