COIL SPRING CONTACT MULTI-CORE CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multi-core connector of a high density and a short current- carrying cable run capable of corresponding to a higher speed in operation and a higher density of an LSI electrode. SOLUTION: A plurality of coil contacts 2 of an elastic metal wire wound spirally around an insulation round bar 1 with a large diameter generator than the diameter of the round bar are provided at equal intervals by pinching partition walls 3, an electrode 7 of an LSI 6 and a printed conductor 9 of a printed circuit board 8 as connecting targets are pressured to the coil contact 2 from the top and bottom, and a contact is obtained by reset elasticity of the contact coil 2. The diameters of the insulating round bar 1, the elastic metal wire and the coil contact 2 can be made thinner, so that a higher density can be obtained and the length of the current-carrying cable run between the electrode 7 and the printed conductor 9 can be made shorter.
