PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a superconductor as a magnet by applying to a chilled superconductor a pulse magnetic field which is generated by allowing a pulse current to flow in a magnetizing coil through a pulse power supply so that the magnetic field may be captured by the superconductor and realizing a highly magnetic field therein. SOLUTION: A cold head 2 is provided within a heat insulating container 1 to be chilled by a refrigerator 20, and a superconductor 3 which is arranged in contact with the cold head 2 within the container 1 is chilled at a temperature of superconduction transition or lower through superconduction. Then a magnetizing coil 4 is provided in the outside of the container 1 so as to apply a magnetic field to the superconductor 3, and a pulse power supply 5 supplies such as pulse current to the coil 4 that is controlled so as to realize applied magnetic field where the superconductor 3 may capture a magnetic field easily. In addition, the container 1 is made to be vacuum by discharging, thereby insulating the superconductor 3 and cold head 2 from the outside of the container 1. Thus, a large applied magnetic field can be generated easily. |
